September 19 - Disney World Day 3 - Hollywood Studios

Pictured below - The Tower of Terror. An old favourite and it did not disappoint.  In fact I think the ride was better than I remembered it.  We got to ride it twice. Wait times for this ride were a bit long so it is hard to get too many rides in.  However if you use the Fast Track ticketing option you can  be more strategic about what ride and when you take the ride that fits into your day.

Next door - The Rock n Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith.  An indoor loop roller coaster that goes from zero to 60 miles an hour in a few seconds. That first launch straight into a loop was a doozy.  Then it zooms in all sorts of directions including a cork screw. Most of the ride is in the dark apart from some illuminated sign posts.

Inside - some pre-show trivia.  Old recording equipment.

Pictured below is us inside the tower of terror elevator ride.  This ride has you dropping down an elevator shaft then it stops goes up again and drops you more. it keeps doing this 4 or 5 times.   It should be called the yo-yo ride.  The guy in front of us is trying to film it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  God.... some mothers do 'av 'em!

Plenty of shows to see - This one was Beauty and the Beast (a shortened version)  It was very entertaining.

I think most of the actors were singing along to a cast prerecording.  The sound did not seem to match their lip synch at times. Nevertheless it was still a vibrant, tight and dynamic performance.

So you think you want to meet someone at the Hollywood Studios and you are not sure where.  Here is the perfect spot.  A highly visible point of the park.

Pictured below -  the back lots.

Motor Stunt show (about 25 mins long) - yes that is someone on fire wandering about.  The stunts done with the cars in this show were amazing.

Pictured below - Star Tours.  A 3 D simulation ride through worlds of the future.

Do you recognise this character ?  He was our unexpected pilot.  The attraction has been completely reworked since the original - with a brand new script.  It was great!

We also went to see the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.  They had quite a bit of audience participation.

Main Street - Hollywood Studios

The entrance of Hollywood Studios (pictured below).  As you can see from the sky, once again darkness looms as it did yesterday.  It must have been 100% humidity I was dripping.  It was awful.   It wasn't long before the heavens opened for a second day in a row.  Fortunately we were in watching a 3D show called Muppet Vision when the storm hit, but we still had a bit of time to wait until the rain (torrential rain) stopped so at 2pmish we thought it was now a good time for lunch.

There were some wonderful rides and great shows experienced today but all good things must come to an end.  We dragged our weary bodies back to our Disney Hotel Resort to enjoy the pool, the water slide and the spa. We loved the water slide.

Ah ha.... someone is feeling a lot cooler and relaxed now.

The waterfall at the pool.  Just to the right of the pyramid was the water slide.

We'll be back tomorrow to fill you in on how Magic Kingdom turns out.
